Graduate Competencies

According to the ASCE Vision 2025 (ASCE, 2007) and Universitas Gadjah Mada General Regulation of 2012-2037, Civil Engineering Education program is designed to have graduates who have managerial skill and innovation in the field of environmentally friendly civil engineering. The graduates will perform their capability as planners, managers, researchers, constructors, operators or managers for eco-friendly civil engineering buildings.

Career Prospects

Civil engineering bachelors has a good job prospective in various fields of work, e.g.:

  • Staff and Officials at Ministry and/or Government Agency: Ministry of Public Works (PU), the National Planning Agency, the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources (ESDM), Ministry of Transportation, The National Agency for Disaster Countermeasure, etc.
  • Public Companies for Construction Sector: PT. Waskita Karya, PT. Wijaya Karya, PT. Hutama Karya, PT. Adhi Karya, PT. Brantas Abipraya, PT. Pembangunan Perumahan, etc.
  • Public Companies for Infrastructure and Public Services: PT. PLN (State Electricity Company), PT. KAI (Indonesian Railway Company), PT. Pertamina, Pelindo, Angkasa Pura, etc.
  • Consultant and Supervisor in Infrastructure.
  • Private Companies in Infrastructure, Banking, or any other financial institutions to analyze the visibility of projects, etc.
  • Academic staff at Universities or other Higher Education Institution, and Research and Development Center.

Achievements

  • Academic Staff: 23 Professors, 32 Doctors, 9 Master (5 of which are currently in Doctoral Study).
  • Accreditation: BAN-PT (National) Grade A, Indonesian Accreditation Board for Engineering Education (IABEE), Accreditation Board for Engineering and Technology (ABET).
  • There are 7 (seven) Laboratories for practicum and support final project and research of the student.
  • Patent: the structural foundation technology of Cakar Ayam modification, Bamboo Construction Technology, Landslide Early Warning System, Hollow submerged breakwater from geotextile.
