Universitas Gadjah Mada (UGM) has sent 935 proposals for Student Creativity Programme in 2016 to the Research, Technology, and Higher Learning Ministry, consisting of 167 proposals on entrepreneurship, 255 creation, 71 community service, 322 science research, 86 socio-humanities research, and 34 technology application.
UGM Head for Student Creativity sub-directorate, Ahmad Agus Setiawan, S.T., M.Sc., Ph.D., said the UGM always encouraged the students to keep making creations and innovations, one of whicch is through student creativity programme.
He said on Thursday (24/11) that efforts have been done to improve the number and quality of proposals. These include Training of Trainers for supervising lecturers, socialisation of the programme, and optimalisation of PKM Center to facilitate students in the writing of proposals.
Currently, Faculty of Engineering is the one with the highest number of proposals (193), Mathematics and Natural Sciences Faculty with 156 proposals and Vocational School with 94 proposals. UGM Director for Student Affairs, Dr. Senawi, M.P., appreciated all students and lecturers that have supported the proposal submission this year. He hoped at the next National Student Scientific Week 2017, UGM would become the winner.
