Protocol office of UGM has become the second winner in the protocol management conducted by Ministry of Research, Technology, and Higher Learning for the category of State Owned Legal Entity University. The national level award was presented by Secretary General, Prof. Ainun Naim, to Head of Public Relations and Protocol Office of UGM, Dr. Iva Ariani, on Tuesday (18/4) in Hotel Sheraton Yogyakarta during a National Meeting on Protocols.
Head of Protocol sub-division of UGM, Haryanto, M.M., said the meeting was joined by up to 122 state universities, 14 private universities, 6 non-ministerial government agencies as well as 7 units of the Ministry.
“For the category of of State Owned Legal Entity University, UGM has won the second place,” said Haryanto on Wednesday (19/4).
Haryanto explained since 2015 the UGM Protocol office has established protocol guidelines in line with Law No 9 Year 2010 on Protocols that is put into writings in Rector Decree No 10/SK/HT/2015. As such, protocol arrangements have been conducted according to these guidelines.
“This achievement will surely add to our motivation to improve our performance for the protocol arrangement of events that are conducted at UGM,” said Haryanto that also became one of the speakers of the National Meeting.
Haryanto added in the near future the Ministry would issue a decree on Protocols that at the time of the National Meeting was made a draft public test of the decree. Once the decree is enacted, UGM will make adjustments deemed as necessary.
Dr. Iva Ariani commented the achievement made by the Protocol office was a form of appreciation from the government. Thus, this award would be made the momentum to keep improving themselves.
“Protocol arrangement of UGM in principle is done as a form of responsibility so that all events running at UGM can go well with the visitors being well-facilitated and feeling convenient,” said Iva.
