The Indonesian Robotic Contest (KRI) Regional 3 at UGM went on Saturday (13/5). Winners were announced for four categories of which three teams of each would go through to the National Robotic Contest at UPI Bandung in July.
“The hosting of KRI Regional 3 by UGM has run successfully. Thank you for your support and participation and congratulations to the winners,” said UGM Director for Student Affairs, Dr. Senawi, M.P., committee of the event, in Yogyakarta.
As many as 73 teams from 30 universities in Central Java and Yogyakarta, South Kalimantan, and East Kalimantan joined the event. UGM has succeeded with having three teams as winners, also to get through to the national contest. The UGM team won the first place for Dancing Robot category. Alfan team beat Rosemary team from Universitas Negeri Yogyakarta and Jan’nah team from Universitas Semarang and 10 other contenders.
For the category of ABU Robocon Indonesia, the winners were Whillie team from Universitas Dian Nuswantoro, Maestro_Evo team from UNY, Heroes team from Universitas Gadjah Mada. The Heroes also won the best design.
For Fire Extinguisher Wheeled Robots, the D’Avecenna 1.7 team from Universitas Islam Sultan Agung won the contest, followed by Mr_Cool MK6 team from Universitas Muhammadiyah Yogyakarta and Al-Fatih team from UGM.
For the category of Football Robots, the Mobo-Evo team from UNY won the award, followed by URT-Roso team from Unissula and R2C Warrior team from Universitas Kristen Satya Wacana. In addition, the Fukuro team from UGM has the best strategy title.
Throughout the event, there are 10 juries and 16 umpirees from various universities overseeing the contests.
“We have to accept any results of the contest because the event had run as expected,” said Head of Reasoning and Creativity from Higher Learning Ministry, Dr. Widyo Winarso, M.Pd.
He added that the participants need to make use of the event as a a place for experience sharing and networking. “Being the winner is not the only goal, but the learning process in this contest is also an extraordinary experience. Finally, I wish to congratulate all the winners and see you soon in Bandung,” he said.
