Computer sciences students of Universitas Gadjah Mada (UGM) have developed an educational application to encourage students for learning. The Tutorpedia application even won the second award in the IDEAFUSE 2017 competition in the category of Innovative App Idea Exhibition that was held in May.
The Android based Tutorpedia has been developed by Prabowo Wahyu Sudarno, Tommy Wahyu Yudialim, Ahmad Fauzi Wibowo, and Komang Ary Tebuana, under the supervision of Guntur Budi Herwanto, S.Kom., M.Cs.
Prabowo said Tutorpedia was an educational application that offers interesting features for learning convenience.
“It has feature of interactive materials, feature of events that informs users about try-out events each week, consultation, and main feature to get a tutor,” he explained on Tuesday (30/5).
The app also comes with gamification feature that enables the users to help each other in doing an exercise. If the answer is helpful, the user can get a like from other users and this can be claimed for a prize. The app that has been developed since December 2016 also runs a Weekly Quest. Users that can answer the test are entitled to get a point that can also be claimed for a prize.
