Economics and Business students from UGM have become the first winner in the national Business Plan KREASI 2017 competition. It is an annual event and in 2017 it raises the theme Show Your Creativity to Build the Entrepreneurship for Indonesia’s Better Future.
Business Plan KREASI competition is organised by Barisan Orang Sukses student activity group from Faculty of Animal Sciences of Universitas Brawijaya in Malang, East Java, on Sunday (5/11). The UGM team is represented by Accounting students class of 2016, Rahma Miranda, Dinda Virgita Febriana, and Alfi Fadhila.
Rahma Miranda explained Business Plan KREASI 2017 was done in three selection stages, namely Business Model Canvas (BMC), business proposal and presentation. In the Business Model Canvas (BMC), as many as 115 teams passed the selection to get through to the next round.
In the final presentation, only 17 teams that qualified, including from Universitas Gadjah Mada, Universitas Mataram, Universitas Negeri Malang, STIE Cendekia Bojonegoro, Universitas Brawijaya, Poltekkes Tasikmalaya, Universitas Darussalam Gontor, PN Banyuwangi, Politeknik Perkapalan Negeri Surabaya, Universitas Hassanudin, etc.
“The final round consists of presentation, Question and Answer, and product display,” said Rahma Miranda, on campus on Thursday (9/11).
Rahma Miranda added the Business Plan KREASI was expected to trigger young people to become young entrepreneurs that can make contributions to the country. In the event, winners are selected to be three grand champions, best speaker, and best stand.
“Alhamdullilah, we were thankful that the UGM team became the first winner,” she added.
