Universitas Gadjah Mada (UGM) and PT. Angkasa Pura II have agreed to establish a cooperation in the recruitment of staff through a special track or fast track recruitment for UGM outstanding students.
Director of PT. Angkasa Pura II, Muhammad Awaluddin, the cooperation was the company’s strategic programme which is important because it is in line with the company’s business development.
“PT. Angkasa Pura II manages 13 airports in the west of Indonesia and in 2018 the traffic of passengers is near 100 million. Hence, it’s important for us to build a good human resource,” he said when giving a speech after the signing of the agreement on Friday (23/3) at the Rector’s office at UGM.
Muhammad Awaluddin said the programme would help the urgent fulfillment of human resource of PT. Angkasa Pura II.
“In the short term, there is an urgent requirement to fill in certain slots in the company, including in aviation law,” he said.
Besides, he said his office would give scholarships to UGM students that have interests in line with the need of PT. Angkasa Pura II, such as aviation law, civil engineering, architecture engineering, and computer sciences.
Rector of UGM, Prof. Ir. Panut Mulyono, M.Eng., D.Eng., welcomed the cooperation. He hoped this cooperation would give benefit to the institutions and the nation.
“It is an honour for UGM to be the choice of Angkasa Pura II that will recruit our graduates, especially through fast track recruitment. This means UGM graduates can meet the urgent needs of Angkasa Pura II,” he said.
