Universitas Gadjah Mada has become the general winner of the SCIFI NEUTRON competition. This was the third win earned by the UGM team. SCIFI-NEUTRON is a national competition organised by Association of Indonesian Nutrition Students (ILMAGI). SCIFI NEUTRON consists of various competitions such as Scientific Paper Writing, PC (Poster Competition), DC (Dietitian Contest), and N2O (National Nutrition Olympiad). This year SCIFI-NEUTRON is run from 10 – 11 March 2018 at Universitas Pembangunan Nasional Veteran, Jakarta.
Delegates from UGM Faculty of Medicine, Public Health and Nursing beat around 80 participants from Indonesian universities. After a selection phase, 16 UGM students have made it to the next round.
In the category of Dietitian Contest, the UGM team consisting of Diwyacitta Pahdarina, Atikah Nuraini, and Sinthya Rasela, won the third place. In the scientific paper writing category, the team of Ivana Noor Farida, Beta Delia Kolin D, Fatwa Nugraheni, and Titi Nurma Sari won the second award. While Novita Vidianti was the first winner in the category of National Nutrition Olympiad. In the poster category, UGM team – Sheila Kusuma W, Nia Bachtiar, and Nadira D’mas Getare S – won the second award. Still in the poster category, another team of UGM with Zena Sabilatuttaqiyya, Nogati Chairunnisa and Muhammad Wyndham Haryata P, won the third place award.
Due to this many achievements in the competition, UGM became the general winner of the SCIFI-NEUTRON 2018. UGM has maintained the championship for three years in a row.
“All the victories are not won without hard work, consistence and preparation,” said Ivana on Monday (19/3).
She hoped this would motivate other UGM students to continue making achievements.
