Universitas Gadjah Mada has earned 6 awards from the 32nd National Student Scientific Week (PIMNAS) held from 26-28 August at Universitas Udayana, Bali.
“UGM delegates earned 6 awards in 5 categories that were competed,” said Dr. Nurulia Hidayah, S.Pt., MP., student supervisor for entrepreneurship of UGM on Thursday (29/8) at Universitas Udayana.
A runner-up has been the title in photography category for Sulthan Thariq Firmansyah (Agriculture) with his works, Savannah Life. Also the same place has been earned in innovation exhibition category by Yandhitya Affan Almada (Vocational School) with his works that turned plastic waste into fuel through a processing tool, Al-Production. Next, Muhammad Riza Nur Pratama (Social and Political Sciences) has come to a third place title with a scientific writing titled Gusjigang: Revitalisation of Local Wisdom Based Character Education.
Furthermore, the runner-up award in business idea went to Anggita Rahma Adriani, Savira Putri Utami, and Widi Kurniawati (Mathematics and Natural Sciences) with their innovation of pollutant cleaner indoor named as Carbonara. Meanwhile, third winners of videography category went to Robby Rizal, Putri Meilinda Sari Sudarmanto, and Ida Bagus Gede Aric Surya Lesmana (Cultural Sciences) with their video to sustain the culture. A consolation prize has been earned by Fauzan Hanif, Rewina Ika Pratiwi, and Ida Bagus Putra Ananta Sidhiswara (Cultural Sciences) with a video on the myth in Enggano Island, Bengkulu.
Nurul said the achievements were the result of the hard work of the students and also supervising lecturers. She hoped that in the next year UGM would be able to bring home more awards from the same event.
“We will carry out an intensive mentoring in order that we can earn maximum results,” she concluded.
