Universitas Gadjah Mada (UGM) and PT. Bank Muamalat Indonesia, Tbk., were approved in having collaboration in the fields of education, research, community service, and finance and banking.
This cooperation was agreed by the memorandum signing of compromise between the President Director of PT. Bank Muamalat Indonesia, Tbk., Achmad Kusna Permana and UGM Chancellor, Prof. Ir. Panut Mulyono, M.Eng., D.Eng., IPU., ASEAN., Eng., Online, on Friday (27/11).a
At that moment, there was also a symbolic donation to UGM students in the form of scholarships worth IDR 249,000,000 and 12 laptops worth IDR 65,988,000 to students with disabilities provided by Baitul Mal Muamalat PT. Bank Muamalat Indonesia, Tbk.
President Director of PT. Bank Muamalat Indonesia, Tbk., Achmad Kusna Permana, highly welcomed the cooperation between both parties. He hoped that cooperation could run well and give both parties benefits.
“Hopefully, this cooperation can run well,” he hoped.
Novi Wardi, as the Director of Baitul Mal Muamalat PT. Bank Muamalat Indonesia, Tbk., also added that hopefully, the support provided could benefit students in learning and improving achievement.
“In 2018, we had also beforehand distributed assistance to help renovate the UGM Vocational School prayer room building, and we hope our cooperation will last long in the future,” he explained.
Meanwhile, UGM Chancellor, Prof. Ir. Panut Mulyono, M.Eng., D.Eng., IPU., ASEAN., Eng., expressed his gratitude and appreciation to Bank Muamalat for their trust in cooperating and supporting assistance to UGM. He hoped that both parties would have stronger and wider cooperation in the future that can also give benefits to both sides.
Panut said that the allocation of scholarships and laptops for UGM students certainly helped UGM students maintain their studies. Hopefully, this support can inspire students to be more active in studying and boost their motivation to participate in various activities related to their self-improvement.
“Thank you for your cooperation. Hopefully, we can continue our cooperation for broader activities in the future. Also, I hope we can strengthen each other’s institutions and encourage the acceleration of the progress of this nation,” Panut concluded.
