A total of 26 students from the UGM Faculty of Economics and Business (FEB UGM) have successfully passed the final selection of the Indonesian International Student Mobility Awards (IISMA) 2024 program.
The students who passed the selection come from three study programs: Management, Accounting, and Economics.
IISMA is a scholarship program from the Ministry of Education, Culture, Research, and Technology that supports one semester of study at reputable partner universities abroad for Indonesian students.
This program is open to bachelor’s and applied bachelor’s students, allowing them to experience an international study atmosphere and gain knowledge of cross-cultural understanding.
In the process, FEB UGM provides comprehensive support through the Global Relations and Mobility Office (GREAT) for students who apply for the IISMA program.
The support provided is undoubtedly beneficial for FEB UGM students. One is Ancilla, also known as Sisi, a Management 2021 student accepted into the IISMA 2024 program at Lund University, Sweden.
“FEB UGM is very supportive of students to pursue any program, including IISMA. Everything was facilitated from the beginning of registration, motivating us to apply without hesitation,” she said at FEB UGM on Wednesday (Apr. 17).
This achievement reaffirms FEB UGM’s commitment to fully supporting student development processes.
Furthermore, FEB UGM assists students receiving the Kartu Indonesia Pintar Kuliah (KIP-K) who want to apply for IISMA by providing free Duolingo English Test facilities, with 12 students receiving assistance this year.
The Vice Dean for Academic Affairs of FEB UGM, Dr. Bayu Sutikno, expressed his pride in the achievement of the 26 students who passed and were awarded the IISMA 2024.
This achievement reflects academic excellence and the quality of the learning process at FEB UGM. It has led 26 students to the best business schools in the world. It serves as a global passport for students to forge themselves into global leaders in the future.
“Congratulations to the 26 recipients of the IISMA 2024 scholarship. This achievement is the result of the hard work of the students, the prayers of parents, and various development programs carried out by GREAT along with the Career and Student Development Unit (CSDU) of FEB UGM together with the colleagues managing the bachelor’s programs at FEB UGM,” he explained.
