Her research showed that groundwater potential is determined by the water characteristics in every hydro-morphology and hydro-geology units. To the board of examiners led by Prof. Dr. Rijanta, M.Sc., promoter Prof. Dr. Sudarmadji, M.Eng., Sc., co-promoter Prof. Dr. A.J. Suhardjo, M.A. and Prof.Dr. Suratman, M.Sc., Zeffitni said that the water potential spatial distribution is the spatial distribution of aquifer system that is laterally located in alluvial plain and denudational hill. Meanwhile, the geological approach adopted is the alluvium and Pakuli formation with varied lithology that form the aquifer.
The lady born in Padang on 19 September 1971 mentioned that the Palu groundwater basin is one of the groundwater basins in the Palu basin that was composed due to the geological structure of Palu Graben, that is the Palu Fault. “Palu Basin is the border that separates surface water or a border of Palu Watershed, whereas Palu groundwater basin is part of Palu Basin,†explained Zeffitni who successfully graduated with cum laude distinction.
The promoter, Prof. Dr. Sudarmadji, M.Eng.,Sc., said that Zeffitni’s success to gain the doctoral title was not easy. Her hard work for over three years is not useless. “Your challenge is, however, even bigger. You are consistent because your researches in S1, S2 and S3 degrees are all about groundwater. Utilize this knowledge for the advancement of your people in Palu. Don’t disappoint the people there and University of Tadulako,†said Sudarmadji to the 1197th doctor of UGM.Â
