Himapsi UGM in collaboration with UIPTB Faculty of Psychology Universitas Gadjah Mada (UGM) held a Project Expo on 25 June at Faculty of Psychology. The event was initiated by Dr. Neila Ramdhani, Chief of Information and Technology Development Unit of the Faculty, as a means to display students’ final projects.
The projects are study of literature, thought and research that are displayed in the form of posters, mockups, as well as indie films related to the subject of Communication Psychology and Social Psychology.
The event entitled Get Inspired, Shape Your Ideas displayed some multimedia works in the form of indie films, such as a film about cross-cultural communication among students living in dormitories in Yogyakarta, or a film about an environmental campaign entitled Go Green Living, and films for children on trash campaign. All activities were presented attractively and interactively.
The event also displayed students’ articles that were published in several national daily newspapers. On the sidelines of the event, the creative process behind those works was described and discussed with the audience in relaxed academic dialogue.
Furthermore, talk shows were held in four different themes. The first talk-show raised the theme of business communication and was presented by Ferry Irawan (Director of Mangrove International), the second one discussed Language of Humanity by Megasari Pusparini (Reperesentative of Hoshizora NGO) as a speaker. The next discussed Erasmus Mundus Euro Asia Scholarship with Ingeborg Herbertson from Hogskolan of Boras University, Sweden. Finally, Setiawati Intan Savitri (General Manager of PT Balai Pustaka and teen lit scriptwriter) shared her experience with attendees.
