Minister of National Education RI, Prof. Dr. Ir. M. Nuh, on Wednesday (21/7), officially opened the 23rd National Student Scientific Week (PIMNAS), that was held at the Mahasaraswati University, Bali. The event will be held for four days from 21 to 24 July, 2010. The Scientific Week this time will be followed by 350 teams from 113 universities in Indonesia, including UGM.
The Minister in his speech said that the Scientific Week is an important activity for students in order to develop creativity and innovation. "With this event, the students contribute to the national development through creativity and innovation in their respective fields," he explained.
In the meantime, Chairman of the event, I Made Suryawan, SH, mentioned that 350 teams compete in this competition, 92 teams of Creativity Student Research Program, 72 team participants of Entrepreneurship Student Creativity Program, 66 teams participants of Society Student Creativity Program, 60 teams participants of Student Creativity Writing Ideas, and 60 teams of Technology Student Creativity Program. "The 23rd National Student Scientific Week is followed by 350 teams of 113 colleges across Indonesia," said Suryawan in his speech.
As previously reported, UGM sent 34 teams, making UGM the one that sends the most teams in this activity.
