JOGJAKARTA (KU) – UGM Rector, Prof. Ir. Sudjarwadi, M. Eng., Ph.D., received a visit from Changwon National University (CNU), Korea, on Thursday (2/9). In a brief meeting at the Rector’s Room, Vice Rector of CNU, Dr Jeong, offered scholarships to UGM master graduates. The scholarships are intended especially for students of engineering graduates.
"Although only in the exploratory phase of cooperation, CNU offers scholarships for post graduates in engineering sciences," said Tiara, a staff of UGM Office of International Affairs after accompanying the visitors from Korea.
For this offering, Tiara said that the Rector welcomed the proposal of cooperation. Rector even invited CNU to select directly the students for the scholarship.
The Rector also offered CNU to bring researchers to Indonesia to conduct collaborative research with UGM researchers. Research results are expected to produce something which is useful for the community. "The Rector expected that the collaboration can produce something that can be applied in the community," Tiara said.
