UGM Women Association held a talk show entitled Being an Interesting Person, presenting former model, Ratih Sanggarwati, as a guest speakerin the University Center (UC) UGM, Thursday (2/9).
In that occasion, Ratih Sanggarwati delivered on a variety of tips to be an interesting person. According to the former model, an interesting person is a person who can spread happiness to people around him/her. "People who are interesting are those that can please everyone," said the lady who is wearing a headscarf.
She described that an interesting person in his/her word and behavior does not cause problems or disturbs others. “Interesting Person does not cause problems for others. An example, when he/she speaks, he/she does not hurt the feelings of the hearer, also his/her behavior does not disturb the people around them,” this mother of three children explained.
Mrs. Atyanto Dharoko, chairman of the talk show committee, says this activity is one of the programs of the education. In addition to the talk show, their education branch also has a number of other programs, such as providing scholarships to employees’ children and the establishment of Tunggadewi Child Daycare.
Mrs. Atyanto mentioned this activity is one of the efforts to raise education funds. They annually give as many as 120 scholarships to children of UGM employees. "We have a program to provide scholarships to children of UGM employees. Each month 10 scholarships are handed over in turns for the children of Class I of civil servants and honorarium employees," explained the member of the board in charge of education.
Meanwhile, Chairman of the Women Association, Mrs. Sudjarwadi, in her speech conveyed that this activity is expected to nurture an Islamic perspective as a guide to living of Indonesian women. "This event is expected to increase the personality knowledge and skills of Indonesian women," she said.
The activity this time was enlivened with a fashion show presented by the sons and the daughters of members of the Association, demonstrating the Muslim fashion collection of Griya Annisa and Danar Hadi Batik.
