Vice Chairman of the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK), Mochammad Jasin, assessing the two candidates of KPK leaders, Busyro Muqoddas and Bambang Widjojanto, as good candidates. In fact, both of them have been through various processes of selection and passed the House of Representatives (DPR) and the government assessment. "The House of Representatives and the government have chosen the two. I think adding one more would be better because we have four vice KPK leaders," says Moch. Jasin at BRI Auditorium, Faculty of Economics and Business UGM, on Monday (20/9), when giving a public lecture for new students of Accounting Profession Program.
Moch. Jasin hoped the two KPK leader candidates are accommodative and are welcomed by the four current vice chairmen of KPK. "I hope both of them can endure problems because the KPK struggle is not for the KPK, but for the people," he added.
In relation with criminal acts of corruption in the region, especially ‘sale and purchase’ of office rank, Moch. Jasin expected intensive reporting from the region because such offenses will be processed when it has got caught by the media. "It would be better to be able to prove the transaction process because it can be done anywhere, in the parking lot, on the toilet, and so forth," he explained. Regarding the existence of KPK branches in regions, Moch. Jasin assumed that it is not necessary yet. In his opinion, the existence of the office in the regions is costly and not necessarily effective.
