The guests kept giving an applause for the appearance of Ireng Maulana and friends at Alumni Gathering Night of Faculty of Economics and Business UGM. The 14th Economics Jazz Live was going pretty lively after the invited guests were entertained by Ketoprak Merger previously.
Starting his appearance with an instrumental from Er- Klux, Ireng Maulana was applauded by the audience. Together with Kiboud Maulana Karim, Yance Manusama and Sang Panuwun and Didiek SSS, Ireng accompanied the performance of Citra Idol, Margie Segers and Harvey Malaiholo.
The atmosphere was more festive when Didiek SSS started performance from the middle of the crowd. The spot lighting movement on him made Didiek’s performance special. From his saxophone, he brought the Medley songs of Michael Jackson, then he greeted the audience in every table and walked toward the stage.
Harvey also did the same. The audience was invited to sing along when he voiced the song "Jerat" and "Dia". "I congratulate you for the 55th Anniversary of Faculty of Economics UGM. Recent time is reunion season, actually I’ve been also reunited, with Ireng Maulana I’ve produced two albums," he said in the middle of the stage.
Meanwhile, Citra Idol’s performance in the early evening brought a distinct impression for Ireng Maulana. Singing two songs, Citra Idol made the audience amazed. One of the songs was "Mau dibawa Kemana" from Armada Band in Swing Jazz, making the song more pleasant to hear. "Is that your new album Citra? Why a good voice such as that came second place?” he teased, “But it’s not important, it is jazzy," Ireng said smiling.
