Six students of Korean Language Study Program, Faculty of Cultural Science UGM, received educational assistance through Lotte Mart scholarship program from the Lotte Foundation in South Korea. The scholarships presentation was done by giving scholarship certificates to the students by a representative from Lotte Foundation, Mr. Lee Keum Jae on Tuesday (28/9) in the Faculty of Cultural Sciences, witnessed by the Vice Dean for Administration, Finance, and Human Resources Development, Drs. Tatang Hariri, MA, Ph.D., accompanied by Chairman of the Department of Korean Language, Suray Agung Nugroho, S.S, M.A, and President Director of Lotte Mart Indonesia, Moon Young-Pyo. Each scholarship recipient receives 370 USD of educational assistance. The scholarships are awarded to students each semester.
Drs. Tatang Hariri expressed his gratitude for the scholarships by Lotte Mart. He hoped the new cooperation will continue in the future. "We hope the cooperation will run well and in the future the number of Lotte Mart scholarship recipients increases," he hoped.
To the scholarship recipients, Tatang asked them to take advantage of the scholarships as best as posible to do better.
Mr. Lee Keum Jae conveyed that the scholarship program is one of the forms of Lotte Mart awareness in the education sector. Mr. Lee hopes the scholarships would produce qualified and competent young generation.
Meanwhile, one of the scholarship recipients, Paramitha, expressed her happiness for the scholarship from Lotte Mart. She will use it optimally. "I feel happy to get this scholarship and I will use this as best as possible. This scholarship will definitely be very useful for my future,"Paramitha said.
