In order to support MDGs achivement in 2015, UGM Center for Women Studies will hold an international seminar entitled Contribution of Multidisciplinary Study for Achieving Millenium Development Goals/MDGs. This will last for two days from 9-10 December 2010 at Cakrakusuma Hotel at Jalan Kaliurang 25 Km 5.2, Yogyakarta.
The event that will be attended by experts and observers of MDGs will present keynote speaker, Mr. Oene Schreuder, M.Ed., and other speakers from various universities in Indonesia and abroad, who will talk in discussion panels.
In order to discuss the big theme, the event will be classified into minor sub-themes in clusters consisting of five clusters that represent 7 goals. The sub-themes are poverty and hunger alleviation, basic education for all, gender equality, and women empowerment. Next is global partnership for development. The last is the health sub-theme covering efforts in child mortality reduction, improving mother’s health, combating HIV/AIDS, malaria and other communicable diseases.
