Universitas Gadjah Mada (UGM) inaugurates 1140 student of post-graduate program on Wednesday (27/4). The graduates consisted of 1077 master graduates, 46 specialist and 17 doctoral graduates. The average period of study is 2 years and 4 months for the S-2, 4 years 1 month for the specialist program, and 4 years and 11 months for the S-3 program.
In this period graduation ceremony, the shortest study time of S-2 level is achieved by Helda Andayany of Physics Study Program, Faculty of Science, which is 1 year and 3 months, while for the specialist level it is achieved by Ida Ayu Tribumiana of Dentistry Conservation study program, Faculty of Dentistry in 2 years and 5 months. Meanwhile, the shortest study time of S-3 level is achieved by Sumihardi of Medical Sciences study program, Faculty of Medicine, who earned doctorate in 3 years and 4 months.
Recorded as the youngest graduate of the S-2 is Adi Purwanto Nur Atmojo of Faculty of Social and Political Sciences, International Relations study program, who gained a master’s degree at the age of 22 years 5 months 4 days. Meanwhile, the regular S-2 graduates who achieve the cum laude predicate are totaling to 169 people or 15.69% of all graduates of the S-2. The highest Grade Point Average (GPA) is achieved by Andi Wijayanto of Electrical Engineering study program, Faculty of Engineering, who earned GPA of 4.00. In addition to Andi Wijayanto, eight other graduates also achieve the same GPA.
