UGM and BNI establish cooperation in the tuition fee payment service through banking facility. The signing of cooperation agreements made by the Senior Vice Rector for Administration, Finance and Human Resources, Prof. Ainun Na’im, Ph.D., and Director of the BNI Network and Services affair, Honggo Widjojo Kangmasto, Friday (17/6), in the Multimedia Room, UGM Central Office. The signing was witnessed by the Rector, Prof. Ir. Sudjarwadi, M. Eng., Ph.D., and President Director of BNI, Gatot M. Suwondo.
Gatot M. Suwondo mentioned the cooperation is in form of tuition fee payments service through banking facilities on host to host basis for the payment of entrance exams, tuition fees, and implementation of financial management at UGM. "This cooperation is a form of our commitment in providing better services to students and clients. This host to host connectivity cooperation is hopefully not only utilized by graduate students, but also undergraduates," he said.
Gatot also said that currently his office once again gives scholarships to students after the program stopped in 2006. "The scholarship program for students was stopped in 2006 because we were focused on providing scholarships for elementary, junior high and high school students. The plan is that in the current and later year we will give scholarships for university students again," he explained.
Prof. Sudjarwadi welcomed the cooperation with BNI. The Rector said that the signing of cooperation strengthens the previous cooperation with BNI. "With the cooperation, BNI and UGM can jointly think about opportunities that could be performed, especially those that can provide mutual benefit, namely to promote community, nation and state," said Rector.
On the occasion, the Rector said that Indonesia is pursuing a target to achieve three times of the GDP, i.e. above 20 trillion. Meanwhile, currently only as much as 7 trillion has been achieved, so there are still many things to be done together. "We believe by working collectively, the ability to identify opportunities will be larger compared to working individually. Through this cooperation, UGM can do many things that can hopefully provide many benefits for the sake of the nation," he added.
On the occasion, eleven bicycle units were also handed over. The formal handover was carried out by the Director of BNI Network and Services to the Senior Vice Rector.
