Universitas Gadjah Mada, once again, inaugurated 1458 graduates with an average duration of study at 4 years and 8 months. Shortest study time is achieved by Manda Firmansyah from the Faculty of Psychology, who graduated within 3 years 1 month. The youngest graduate this time is Lukitawesa of Agricultural Technology Faculty in food technology and agricultural products, who managed to graduate at the age of 20 years and 11 months.
In this graduation, cum laude graduates amounted to 328 people or 23.48% of all graduates. While the highest grade point average, 3.96, is achieved by Sinta Rahmawidya of the Faculty of Engineering in Industrial Engineering.
To the graduates, the Rector asked that they uphold the vision of UGM by always serving the interests and prosperity of the nation. They should also continue to build networks, develop themselves and do lifelong learning. "With lifelong learning, great self confidence and happiness, working as a good example in their respective professions, I believe, UGM graduates will become leaders in the respective field, thereby contributing in making major strategic policies for the benefit and prosperity of the nation," he said.
