Studying Physics is no longer difficult and more fun. Currently, a Physics e-learning program has been developed to facilitate students in learning by Drs. Afrizal Mayub, M. Kom, lecturer of Bengkulu University.
Afrizal sees the lack of interest in learning physics is because physics is abstract, empirical and mathematical. To increase the interest, it is necessary to create a pleasant atmosphere in the study. One way is by designing an attractive learning systems that meet the standards to achieve effective learning.
Therefore, he made a learning program that is interesting as well as more real, using E-learning package.
"The Physics E-learning should be multimedia, equipped with a good sound system in order to attract students to learn," said Afrizal while defending hisdissertation in front of the board of examiners, Thursday (15/12) in the UGM Faculty of Engineering.
Engineering model of the E-learning program includes learning modules that are connected in an inter-related system. The module is a material presentation one, animated demo, analysis animation, answer to the problem, examination, practice tests and help program modules.
According to Afrizal, e-learning program is acting as apperception, motivator, informer, as well as a facilitator. Besides, it serves as a forum for self-development, individual and interactive learning.
From the results of the study entitled Engineering of Physics E-learning Program as an Effort to Create an Efficient Physics Learning in High School, it is known that e-learning program was instrumental in Physics learning process. Engineering of e-learning program also proved to be able to increase the average grades and absorptive capacity up to 43.5 percent. It also can improve the study completion up to 84.16 percent.
"E-learning program in the study of Physics also proved to motivate students to learn physics," said the man born in Rumbai, Pasamam, on April 18, 1960.
