The International Conference and Annual Meeting of the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (ICAM AACSB) occurred on April 14-17, 2024, in Atlanta, Georgia, USA.
This prestigious event was attended by hundreds of deans and school leaders from around the world, including both accredited and non-accredited AACSB members.
As a business school accredited since 2014, the UGM Faculty of Economics and Business (FEB UGM) was represented by its dean, Professor Didi Achjari, and the Vice Dean for Finance, Assets, and Human Resources, Dr. Suyanto.
Their participation was to fulfill the obligation of attending the annual meeting and expanding cooperation and collaboration networks with various international partners.
The ICAM forum is a platform to update understanding of best practices in running business schools and refreshing the existing standards.
FEB UGM remains committed to meeting the quality standards set by AACSB. FEB UGM’s presence at ICAM AACSB underscores its dedication to continually enhancing the quality of education and research at FEB UGM.
ICAM AACSB is an annual event that serves as a meeting forum for higher education leaders in business and management worldwide. This forum allows stakeholders to share knowledge and experiences related to business education.
More than 1,200 participants from 58 countries attended this year’s forum, which was themed “Leading Beyond Boundaries.”
The forum featured various sessions divided into subthemes, including regional and topical meetings, peer networking, and social discussions.
In addition to discussions and networking, participants had the opportunity to attend conferences featuring two keynote speakers: Ammy Webb, Founder and CEO of the Future Today Institute, and Shawn Achor, New York Times bestselling author of “The Happiness Advantage” and “Big Potential.”
In addition to attending ICAM, FEB UGM explored potential collaborations with partner universities such as the City University of Hong Kong and the Catholic University of Uruguay.
“At ICAM, FEB UGM successfully initiated several cooperation discussions and planned follow-up meetings with prospective partners, including Professor Seen Meng Chew from the City University of Hong Kong and Soraia Marino from the Catholic University of Uruguay,” said Dean Achjari on Tuesday (Apr. 23).
