The UGM Faculty of Social and Political Sciences (Fisipol) has organized a program for UM-CBT participants called “Fisipol Menyambut 4.0.”
This facility was provided to all UM-CBT participants in Yogyakarta, especially those from underprivileged, marginalized, vulnerable, and families with disabilities.
“We warmly welcome prospective students to Fisipol. We provide accommodation and various facilities to support you during the exam,” said the dean of Fisipol, Dr. Wawan Mas’udi.
The facilities provided include accommodation, places of worship, sanitation facilities, meals, and transportation to the test location.
Participants must register online and provide student data from June 6 to June 18, 2023, to participate in this program.
The selected participants joined the program on July 1-2, 2023, during the UM-CBT period. The entire program was held at Fisipol Unit II, Yogyakarta.
In addition to providing basic facilities for free, Fisipol Menyambut 4.0 also offers various pre-exam activities, such as mentoring classes and inspirational sessions.
“Before the exam, it is usually helpful to receive tips and tricks. We provide mentoring and inspirational talk shows for the participants to keep their spirits up during the exam,” added Dr. Mas’udi.
These talk shows specifically invited tutors and alums who had passed the exam in previous years.
This program originated from the initiative of Dr. Erwan Agus Purwanto, the former dean of Fisipol (2012-2016), who then experienced the hardships faced by out-of-town students in taking exams at UGM.
Since 2017, Fisipol and the faculty’s alum family have initiated the provision of accommodation and pre-exam guidance programs for UM-CBT participants, which continues to this day.
The 2023 Fisipol Menyambut program has successfully accommodated more than 100 UM-CBT participants.
