UGM Faculty of Social and Political Sciences provides free breakfast for students during semester exams to support their health and well-being.
The program aims to help students perform their exams optimally without missing their morning nutrition.
Dean of the UGM Faculty of Social and Political Sciences, Dr. Wawan Mas’udi, stated that free morning breakfast has become a regular agenda at the faculty, known as Fisipol Free Breakfast.
“Fisipol Free Breakfast is a form of the faculty’s care for students taking semester exams,” he explained in a press release received on Thursday (October 5).
Free breakfast during the semester exam is also expected to support the health of the UGM Faculty of Social and Political Sciences students.
It is hoped that students can get sufficient nutrition with this breakfast program, especially since many students skip breakfast when focusing on exams.
“The nutritional intake from breakfast can help students think clearly, compared to taking exams on an empty stomach,” he explained.
Free breakfast for students is provided every morning during the Midterm Exams (UTS) and Final Semester Exams (UAS) periods. This free breakfast will be provided again in October 2023 for exam students.
The food and beverages vary, with different breakfast menus offered daily. Breakfast is served at 6:30 AM in the faculty’s East Terrace. Students who want to get free breakfast need to sign in first and are free to choose their menu.
The morning breakfast agenda during each semester exam held at the faculty aligns with UGM’s commitment to accelerate the achievement of Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), especially goal 2, “Zero Hunger,” and goal 3, “Good Health and Well-being.”
