Universitas Gadjah Mada (UGM) signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Universitas Satya Terra Bhinneka and Bhakti Tanoto Foundation on Monday (May 20) at the UGM Central Office.
The three parties agreed to cooperate in implementing the tri-dharma of higher education and human resource development by improving the quality of education in Indonesia.
Dr. Andi Sandi Antonius Tabusassa Tonralipu, the University Secretary, and Dr. Wiratni from the UGM Faculty of Engineering (FT UGM) represented UGM.
From Universitas Satya Terra Bhinneka, Vice Rector III for Research, Community Service, and Cooperation, Dorothy Ferary, Vice Rector I for Academic Affairs, Rinrin Meilani Salim, and Head of the Quality Assurance Institute, Irfan L. Sarhindi, were present.
Michael Susanto represented the Bhakti Tanoto Foundation.
Dr. Tonralipu expressed gratitude and appreciation to the partners who are willing to collaborate with UGM. Through this cooperation, he said, UGM and its partners could contribute to creating future national leaders and producing graduates who support the nation’s progress.
“This collaboration marks the beginning of supporting national development,” he stated.
He noted that Universitas Gadjah Mada has significantly expanded its partner network to support the tri-dharma implementation. UGM enhances its academic quality and substantially contributes to social and economic development.
“This aligns with its vision to become a world-class, excellent, and innovative university,” he emphasized.
Dorothy Ferary expressed her appreciation for UGM’s willingness to develop collaboration with Universitas Satya Terra Bhinneka, especially in the field of tri-dharma.
“We are committed to implementing sustainable partnerships between universities,” she said.
Michael Susanto, Secretary of the Bhakti Tanoto Foundation, was also present to sign the Cooperation Agreement on Human Resource Development through Improving the Quality of Education in Indonesia.
He mentioned that UGM and the Bhakti Tanoto Foundation had previously collaborated in education, research, community service, and scholarship provision for outstanding students.
“Additionally, Tanoto has supported faculty research and various student projects,” Michael Susanto added.
