The Undergraduate Program in Computer Science (UP-CS) was established in 1987. The UP-CS commits to provide students with education of the highest possible quality. The program offers overseas as well as Indonesian students the opportunity to study and obtain their bachelor’s degree in Computer Science with international standard and excellent curriculum.

Graduate Competencies

Graduates of this study program have the ability to create and improve system software, conduct and oversee network installation and service equipment activities, design, implement, and monitor databases within an organization, and apply the principles of software engineering in designing, developing, testing and evaluating the software.

Career Prospects

Our graduates can work in government agencies, BUMN (state-owned enterprises), banks, research institutions, industries, and as entrepreneurs in the computer field, as well as various institutions and companies in the information technology field. The career fields of our graduates include software engineering, database administration, network analysis, web development, mobile application programming, IT project management, IT consulting, computer science, and data science.

Facilities

Our study program is equipped with basic computer laboratories and several research laboratories (Algorithms and Computing Labs, Intelligent Systems Labs, Computer and Network Systems Labs, Software and Data Engineering Labs, Electronics and Instrumentation Labs) along with their supporting hardware and software.

    1. A graduate of the study program is expected to master the fundamental knowledge of computer science, which includes relevant topics in mathematics, logic, electronics and sciences.
    2. A graduate of the study program is expected to master theoretical concepts in the field of computer science, which includes those related to algorithms, computations, formal languages, data structures, programming, computer systems, data processing, software, intelligent systems and numerical analysis.
    3. A graduate of the study program is expected to master applied concepts in the field of computer science, which includes those related to modeling methods, development, verification and validation of software.
  3. SPECIAL SKILLS
    1. A graduate of the study program is expected to be able to apply the acquired fundamental, theoretical, and applied knowledge and to adapt the state-of-theart development to find constructive solution to the problems encountered.
    2. A graduate of the study program is expected to be able to carry out literature studies and carry out independent and group research in the field of computer science.
    3. A graduate of the study program is expected to have good interpersonal skills, be able to cooperate in a team, have a sense of responsibility on the job itself, and can be given the tasks to support the achievement of teamwork.
    4. A graduate of the study program is expected to be able to communicate with various stakeholders from different backgrounds; to communicate well in English; and to write scientific documents that follow a specific set of rules.
    5. A graduate of the study program is expected to be up to date with the stateof-the-art, especially in the field of computer science, and be able to continuously broaden and deepen the knowledge acquired previously in the tradition of life-long learning.
