Competences of Health Information Management as written in Ministerrial Regulation Number 377 Year 2007 regarding Competences of Health Record and Health Information staff are as follows:

  1. CLASSIFICATION OF DISEASES, ISSUES RELATED TO HEALTH AND MEDICAL TREATMENTS:
    Medical Record staff is capable of defining the disease codes and treatments precisely based on International Classification about diseases and medical treatments within health services and management.
  2. LEGAL and PROFESSIONAL ETHICS
    Medical Record staff is capable of acomplishing the duty of giving high quality medical record and health information services by concerning the applicable legal aspects and professional ethics.
  3. MEDICAL RECORD AND HEALTH INFORMATION MANAGEMENT
    Medical Record staff is capable of managing medical record and health information to fulfill the need of medical service, administration and health information as source of decision making in health field.
  4. MANTAINING THE QUALITY OF MEDICAL RECORD
    Medical Record staff is capable of managing, planning, implementing, evaluating, and assessing the quality of medical record.
