The village of Duwet in Gunungkidul has attracted the attention of five UGM students.
The Jakarta Provincial Government has established a food supply center on Tidung Island, Kepulauan Seribu, called JakGrosir. This facility was built to address the issue of higher food prices on the island, which are relatively more expensive than other areas of Jakarta due to its geographical location and transportation limitations.
In the village of Namberan, located in the Karangasem District of Paliyan, Gunung Kidul Regency, there is an incredible natural resource–the thriving melinjo tree, also known as Gnetum gnemon, a native to Southeast Asia. Nearly every household in this village has melinjo trees in their yards.
UGM has deployed 143 students to participate in the Community Service Program (KKN-PPM) for the third period of 2023. These students will assist the Special Region of Yogyakarta government address poverty and stunting-related issues.
