The national airline company PT Garuda Indonesia (Persero) Tbk awarded GarudaMiles Platinum membership to Universitas Gadjah Mada’s Vice Rectors.
The award was a form of appreciation for their continued loyalty to the airline’s services.
Dennis Pudya Pradana, Acting General Manager of Garuda Indonesia Yogyakarta, handed over the GarudaMiles Platinum certificate, which was received by UGM Vice-Rector for Human Resources and Finance, Professor Supriyadi, at the UGM Central Office on Friday (Apr. 9).
Representing the vice rectors, Professor Supriyadi expressed his gratitude and appreciation for the long-standing partnership with Garuda Indonesia.
He expressed hope that the collaboration would continue and expand into other areas.
“For instance, we have a campus in Jakarta, and the mobility of UGM’s academic community is very high. We hope this collaboration will continue and grow,” he said.
UGM and Garuda Indonesia have maintained a strong partnership over the years.
Between 2023 and 2024, collaboration through the Garuda Indonesia Trade Partner (GAMD) program recorded transactions totaling approximately IDR 12 billion.
As of early 2025, the transaction value has reached IDR 1.9 billion.
Professor Supriyadi noted that these figures reflect the intensity and mutual benefit of the long-term partnership.
“We hope this partnership will continue to contribute meaningfully to national development and Indonesia’s advancement,” he added.
Dennis Pudya Pradana expressed appreciation for the collaboration with UGM.
In addition to the business value, PT Garuda Indonesia is committed to offering exclusive flight services to the UGM academic community.
According to Pradana, the GarudaMiles award benefits all UGM members and includes access to special fares from Garuda Indonesia.
These include ticket discounts ranging from 4 to 30 percent for domestic and international flights.
“We are pleased that our business continues to grow, while at the same time, we can provide special services to UGM. Garuda Indonesia is currently working to enhance its services by increasing the number of aircraft on existing routes and opening new domestic and international routes,” he said.
