As it marks its 26th anniversary, Rumah Sehat & Apotek UGM, a healthcare center and pharmacy served under RSA UGM, is entering a new chapter. UGM Academic Hospital (RSA UGM) has taken over its operations and management, a change expected to make healthcare services more accessible, faster, and more convenient for students, faculty members, university staff, and the general public.
Nadia Mufida said that RSA UGM is part of the Health Center and Pharmacy’s development to meet the need for more widely accessible healthcare services. The university is implementing this change through operational adjustments and ongoing service development.
“The transformation of UGM’s Health Center and Pharmacy is aimed at making healthcare services more accessible, faster, and more convenient for the UGM community and the public,” Nadia said on Thursday (Oct. 8).
Now in place is the 24-hour daily operation of the UGM General Practice Clinic and Pharmacy. These round-the-clock services provide healthcare access for patients who need care outside regular operating hours. In addition, the Dental Clinic now serves patients every day, from Monday to Sunday, from morning until evening.

Access to services has also been improved through partnerships with several insurance providers. UGM’s Health Center and Pharmacy now collaborates with Mandiri Inhealth, BSI Life, BNI Life, and BRI Life to facilitate payment for healthcare services. These partnerships are part of ongoing service improvements to accommodate patients’ increasingly diverse needs.
UGM’s Health Center and Pharmacy is also focused on disease prevention and more comprehensive health management. One service currently being prepared is a Comprehensive Nutrition and Metabolic Wellness Clinic. This service is designed to address community needs in preventing metabolic diseases, managing health, and adopting healthy lifestyles.
The Comprehensive Nutrition and Metabolic Wellness Clinic will use a multidisciplinary approach involving various healthcare professionals and medical specialists. The planned team includes specialists in internal medicine, clinical nutrition, dermatology, venereology and aesthetics, psychiatry, and other supporting specialties.
“This collaboration is designed to address patients’ health comprehensively, from nutritional management and metabolic assessments to skin care and mental health support,” Nadia explained.
Developing more comprehensive healthcare services complements the operational changes already underway at UGM’s Health Center and Pharmacy. With a 24-hour general practice clinic and pharmacy, daily dental services, and plans to expand specialist care, the center aims to respond more effectively to the healthcare needs of the UGM community and the wider public.
