The Bachelor of Archives and Information Records Management Program at the School of Applied Sciences, Universitas Gadjah Mada prepares applied bachelor graduates in the field of archival science who are proficient in records management, archival preservation and archives administration, archival development and supervision, as well as the presentation of archives as sources of information and knowledge in government institutions, corporations, and communities, both in digital and conventional archival formats. 

This 148-credit curriculum, with 60% practical work, was developed in collaboration with stakeholders, experts, and professional associations to ensure that each material is highly relevant to the needs of the workplace.

Graduates receive a Bachelor of Applied Information Science (S.Tr.S.I.) and a professional certification in the archival field and/or office administration, providing essential skills for careers in both the government and private sectors.

Received support and cooperation from the national stakeholders such as the National Archives of the Republic of Indonesia (ANRI), Indonesian Records Management Professional Association (P3RI), the Archives and Library Service of Regional Governments in Indonesia, and PT Batara Indah; also the international institutions such as the International Council on Archives (ICA), Southeast Asia-Pacific Audiovisual Archive Association (SEAPAVAA) National Archives of Singapore, Centre for Organizational and Social Informatics Monash University, Australian National University, National Archives of the Netherlands (NAN), Jacob University Germany, and Radboud University Nijmegen in the form of curriculum development, practitioner lecturers, scholarship programs, structured internships, expert exchanges, lab equipment grants and others.
  6. International exposure in the form of membership of the International Council on Archives (ICA), membership of the Southeast Asia-Pacific Audiovisual Archive Association (SEAPAVAA), guest lectures from the British Library, Comparative Studies at the National Archives of Singapore, UiTM MARA Malaysia, etc.
