Established in 1955 as the Department of Government Studies (JIP), the department later became the Department of Government Politics (JPP) in 2010 and was officially renamed the Department of Politics and Government (DPP) in 2016. DPP envisions itself as a leading center for the development of social and political sciences grounded in the values of democracy and humanity, embodied in its guiding principle: “Humanizing Politics.”

The Undergraduate Program in Politics and Government offers various study options tailored to students’ interests, including:

  • Intermediary Studies
  • General Electives

Through these study options, students are equipped with theoretical understanding and analytical skills to examine political dynamics, governance, public policy, civil society, and state–society relations in the context of contemporary democracy.
