The Undergraduate Program in Social Development and Welfare (PSdK) at FISIPOL UGM focuses on the study of community development, social policy, community empowerment, and the sustainable improvement of social welfare. Students are equipped with an understanding of issues such as poverty, inequality, inclusive development, and social welfare at the local, national, and global levels.
The program combines theoretical foundations with practical experience, including social research, community empowerment program design, and social policy evaluation. Graduates of the program earn a Bachelor of Social Science (S.Sos.) degree and are prepared for careers in government institutions, NGOs/CSOs, international organizations, research institutions, and the social development and welfare sectors.
