UGM Vice-Rector of Education, Teaching, and Student Affairs, Prof. Dr. Ir. Djagal Wiseso Marseno, M.Agr., received the visit by Management Science University (MSU), Malaysia on Friday (11/5), represented by Vice President for Global Affairs, Prof. Dr. Eddy Yusuf and Dean, School of Pharmacy, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Mohd Fadli Asmani.
Dean of Faculty of Pharmacy UGM, Prof. Dr. Agung Endro Nugroho, M.Si., Apt., said the visit was to expand cooperation between UGM and MSU that had gone quite well for some time. It was also to develop double degree programme between Faculty of Pharmacy UGM and MSU for undergraduate and graduate levels.
“Faculty of Pharmacy UGM and MSU have done student exchange and double degree that is being initiated to get started in 2019,” Agung said.
Meanwhile, Prof. Eddy Yusuf said opportunities were open for staff exchange, research and so on. “MSU would be happily welcome the lecturers from UGM as visiting professor to MSU and this is open to all faculties,” he said.
UGM Director for Partnership, Alumni, and International Affairs, Dr. Danang Sri Hadmoko, said the agreement at the university would be processed soon to be the grounds for more intensive and wider cooperations.
He said the cooperation with Malaysia needed to be underlined remembering the geographical factor and the close ties between the two. The cooperation was expected to be the supporting factor to increase UGM reputation at the global level.
