Community

Community service activities at UGM are coordinated by the UGM Directorate of Community Service and assisted by the Service and Research units at the Faculty / SP / SV / Study Center / Field Laboratory and other supporting units at UGM.

UGM actively and sustainably participates in facilitating community empowerment programs that have a direct impact on society through the Desa Binaan (village community empowerment) program.

UGM develops community empowerment programs based on the application of appropriate technology that prioritizes science, technology, art and culture. Issues in the community are chosen as program topics and resolved together by the UGM team and the target group.

Higher education is a center of information and learning for students and society. Higher Education also plays an important role in solving various problems that arise in society.
