Are you a fan of archery? If so, you should participate in the national-scale archery competition organized by the UGM Archery Student Activity Unit from July 11-14, 2024, at the Pancasila Sports Arena, Universitas Gadjah Mada.
This competition, named the UGM Open Archery Championship (UOAC), allows archery athletes and the general public to showcase their skills and talents.
UOAC aims to promote archery and the UGM Archery Unit to the public and attract high school students interested in continuing their studies at UGM through the Talent Search for Outstanding Students (PBUB) program.
“We are opening opportunities for community groups to participate in this competition,” said UOAC committee member Gina Septrinesyah in a statement sent to the media on Wednesday (June 12).
UOAC Series 2 will feature eight competition categories: National U-12, U-15, National Open, Compound U-15, Compound Open, Recurve U-15, Recurve Open, and Barebow Open. 64 gold, silver, and bronze medals will be awarded across these categories.
“There are 64 medals up for grabs for participants in all categories,” she said.
Winners in each category will receive medals, certificates, and coaching funds. Mixed-team winners will receive medals and certificates. Team winners will receive trophies, certificates, and coaching funds.
“The overall winner will receive a trophy, certificate, and coaching funds,” Septrinesyah added.
Interested participants can register online via the link https://taplink.cc/pendaftaranuoacseries2 for regular registration, which runs from May 22 to June 25, 2024.
The registration fee for individuals is IDR 300,000, for teams IDR 325,000, for mixed teams IDR 300,000, and for officials IDR 150,000 per person.
“We hope that young Indonesian athletes can participate and succeed in the UGM Open Archery Championship to enhance their achievements and channel their talents,” Septrinesyah concluded.
