PT Inspirasien Srikandi Indonesia, better known as Inspirasien, is a startup supported by UGM’s Innovative Academy that has successfully secured a place among the top 10 finalists in the prestigious HK Tech 300 Southeast Asia Startup Competition.
This achievement has earned Inspirasien a funding award of 1 million Hong Kong dollars, equivalent to over 2 billion rupiah.
“Inspirasien, nurtured by UGM’s Innovative Academy, is proud to be the only Indonesian startup to make it to the top 10 in this competition,” said Denny Wijayanto, Head of Program at Innovative Academy, to reporters on Friday (Aug. 16).
Wijayanto, who was selected as a panelist for the HK Tech 300 Southeast Asia Startup Competition, mentioned that Inspirasien was one of the ten winning startups in the competition, which was participated in by more than 100 startups from seven countries in Southeast Asia and Hong Kong.
In addition to Indonesia, the other winning startups were from Malaysia, Singapore, Thailand, Vietnam, and Hong Kong.
The competition, initiated by the City University of Hong Kong, attracted promising startups offering cutting-edge solutions across various industries, including digital healthcare, energy sustainability, eco-friendly materials, digital assets, and real estate.
“We also contributed to reviewing the startups that made it to the top 10 finalists,” he added.
Inspirasien is recognized as a healthcare support and patient advocacy platform founded by chronic illness survivors with diverse healthcare professional backgrounds committed to supporting other patients.
Astriani Dwi Aryaningtyas, the founder of Inspirasien, noted that the American Society of Clinical Oncology licenses Inspirasien.
“We have 40 patient advisors who are health specialists and compassionate individuals dedicated to enhancing patients’ quality of life by providing more health information,” Aryaningtyas explained.
As a global patient advocacy provider, Inspirasien assists chronic disease patients and caregivers by offering comprehensive healthcare services through patient advocacy, including mental health screenings, organizing health education events, healthcare assistance, and patient-partnership programs with over 50 partners.
It also provides referral programs in collaboration with hospitals and laboratories to meet patients’ needs.
According to Aryaningtyas, Inspirasien’s website is supported by an AI health assistant system that helps healthcare professionals make clinical diagnoses.
This enhances the Clinical Decision Support System (CDSS) by aiding patient advocates in making quick and accurate diagnoses based on patients’ vital signs and monitoring their status through video conferencing integrated with electronic medical records.
