Universitas Gadjah Mada (UGM) has earned the prestigious Informative status in the 2024 Public Information Transparency Ranking. With a remarkable score of 98.92, UGM secured second place in the category of Public University Agencies.
This achievement highlights UGM’s unwavering consistency, having maintained this status for six consecutive years.
The award was presented by the Chair of the Central Information Commission of the Republic of Indonesia, Donny Yoesgiantoro, to Dr. Andi Sandi Antonius Tabusassa Tonralipu, UGM’s Chief Information and Documentation Officer (PPID Utama) during the main event in Jakarta on Tuesday (Dec. 17).
On receiving the award, Dr. Tonralipu emphasized that this accomplishment reflects UGM’s strong commitment to providing excellent services to the public and fostering a culture of transparency in public information.
“This achievement is not only a source of pride for us but also a reminder to uphold transparency and accountability in information management. We remain committed to serving the public better and promoting a culture of openness,” he stated.
The 2024 Public Information Transparency Ranking assessed various public agencies, including ministries, state and non-ministerial government institutions, non-structural state institutions, public universities, political parties, provincial governments, and state-owned enterprises.
UGM’s success demonstrates the critical role of universities in promoting transparent and accountable public information management.
This accomplishment further solidifies UGM’s position as a university excelling in the three pillars of higher education (tri-dharma) and public information governance, which are aligned with openness, superior service, and inclusivity principles.
