Nine lecturers of UGM have been elected members of National Research Agency (DRN) 2015-2018, who are Ir. Lukito Edi Nugroho, M.Sc., Ph.D, Prof. Ir. Jamasri, Ph.D., Dr. Kuskridho Ambardi, M.A., Prof. Dr. Techn. Ir. Danang Parikesit, M.Sc., Prof. dr. Adi Utarini, M.Sc., MPH.,Ph.D., Prof. Dr. Ir. Eni Harmayani, Prof. Ir. Sigit Priyanto, M.Sc., Ph.D., Prof. Dr. Sigit Riyanto, S.H., LLM, and Dr. Deendarlianto, S.T., M.Eng.
Vice-Rector for Research and Community Service, Prof. Dr. Suratman, said their being elected would hopefully contribute to the progress and prosperity of the nation.
Suratman hoped the membership of UGM lecturers would increase the research productivity at UGM nationally and internationally. Currently, UGM researches have involved trans-disciplinary researches.
“Research acceleration at UGM is also done through faculties, centres of studies or working groups,” he said on Friday (2/10). UGM is currently focusing on publication, patent and downstreaming of researches.
One of the members, Ir. Lukito Edi Nugroho, M.Sc., Ph.D, said this was an honour for UGM to be elected members. He pointed out some technology problems facing the nation, including energy independency.
