There are seven agendas that Faculty of Social and Political Sciences will hold to celebrate its 60th Anniversary. Those are Gadjah Mada Theater, Research Days, FISIPOL Art Days, Kampung Sospol, Musyawarah Nasional Keluarga Alumni FISIPOL UGM (Munas Kafispolgama), Temu Alumni, and Sansiro Night Festival. The agendas will be held from 12-19 of December 2015 themed “Smart Action Toward Global Society”.
“We try to integrate two things, academic aspect and non-academic aspect,” said Dr. Agus Heruanto Hadna, M.Si, chairman of anniversary committee in a press conference, Monday (12/14).
Academically, Research Days is their main activity. There will be presentation on some researches of the lecturers, students and collaborative researches with the government, private sectors, Indonesian or foreign universities. Topic related to social and political issues , such as ASEAN, public distrust, intolerance and liberalization, will be presented on 21 parallel sessions for four days, starting from 15th to 18th December. This activity aims to give knowledge about politics to academicians of UGM as well as public audiences.
Besides academic activity, there are some non-academic activities to facilitate students who have art skills through FISIPOL Art Days which are divided into exhibition and show. The art displayed in the exhibition are mostly from the students of Faculty of Social and Political Sciences, where they tried to show the situation of the society nowadays.
The committee also offer public participation, especially high school students through Kampung Sospol; this event includes exhibition joined by all majors and students organizations. The main activity of 60th anniversary is Munas Kafispolgama, Temu Alumni and closed by Sansiro Night Festival.
