A total of 1,100 participants took part in the Korpagama Family Fun Walk organized by the Corps of Universitas Gadjah Mada Employees (Korpagama) on Sunday (Oct. 26) at the Balairung Hall, UGM Central Office. Carrying the theme Ngaruhke, Nguwongke Kabeh Pegawai (Acknowledging and Valuing All Employees), the event was held to commemorate the 20th anniversary of Korpagama and the 76th anniversary of Universitas Gadjah Mada (UGM).
The fun walk was officially flagged off by UGM Vice Rector for Planning, Assets, and Information Systems, Dr. Arief Setiawan Budi Nugroho, accompanied by Deputy Chair of UGM’s 76th Anniversary Committee, Professor Satibi, Chair of Korpagama, Professor Achmadi Priyatmojo, and Chair of the Korpagama Fun Walk Committee, Dr. Asikin Nur.
Dr. Arief Setiawan Budi Nugroho stated that the gathering of participants in the Korpagama Fun Walk reflected a strong sense of togetherness and unity among UGM lecturers and education personnel. He expressed hope that such friendship would continue to bring benefits to the nation.
“In essence, let us see this morning’s togetherness not only as a commemoration of UGM’s 76th anniversary and Korpagama’s 20th anniversary, but as a shared step toward greater progress,” he said.

Echoing this sentiment, Professor Satibi viewed the event as a reflection of the spirit of unity that has long been a source of strength for Universitas Gadjah Mada. He noted that the fun walk was not merely a form of exercise or entertainment but a meaningful expression of values aligned with the overarching theme of UGM’s 76th Anniversary, Healthy Campus as a Pillar of National Resilience and Independence.
According to Professor Satibi, the activity promotes not only physical health but also togetherness, mutual cooperation, and balance in life between work, family, and well-being. He added that a healthy campus is not measured solely by the physical fitness of its members but also by a harmonious work environment, warm social relationships, and care for one another.
“This event may seem simple, but it carries profound meaning as part of our effort to maintain UGM’s resilience and independence as a close-knit and empowered community,” Professor Satibi explained.
He further stated that the Korpagama Fun Walk theme aligns with the spirit of UGM’s 76th anniversary. The theme serves as a reminder that every employee plays a vital role in UGM’s sustainability, each contributing, complementing one another, and sharing responsibility.
“With the spirit of ngaruhke, nguwongke kabeh pegawai, we aim to foster a healthy and harmonious work culture in which every individual feels valued, heard, and given the space to contribute,” he added.

Meanwhile, Professor Achmadi Priyatmojo expressed his hope that the Korpagama Fun Walk would further strengthen genuine fellowship and improve staff performance in supporting UGM’s vision and mission.
“May we all continue to maintain our bonds of friendship, and hopefully, many will also win the door prizes today,” he said.
Committee Chair Dr. Asikin Nur added that this year’s Korpagama Fun Walk involved 1,100 participants consisting of active and retired lecturers and staff, along with their families. Due to rainy weather, the route was adjusted to circle around the UGM Central Office.
“Participants walked around the Central Office to celebrate Korpagama’s 20th anniversary and UGM’s 76th anniversary. We have prepared various prizes, including refrigerators, washing machines, televisions, 27 bicycles, and 87 other gifts. We hope everyone stays healthy, joyful, and happy,” said Dr. Nur.
