Administrative selection stage in the Selection Process and Election of UGM Rector for 2017-2022 period was finished by the Committee. Based on administrative requirements, as many as eight out of nine applicants succeeded passing this selection stage and moved forward to the next stage.
“Administrative selection process has finished, and there are eight people out of nine applicants who passed the administration,” said member of Selection and Election Committee of UGM Rector, Subejo, Ph.D, on Monday (6/3).
The eight rector candidates who passed this selection are Prof. Ir. Panut Mulyono, M.Eng., Dr. Ir. Ali Agus, DAA., DEA., Prof. Dr. Mudrajad Kuncoro, M.Soc.Sc., Prof. Ir. Dwikorita Karnawati, M.Sc., Ph.D., Dr. Erwan Agus Purwanto, M.Si., dr. Rr. Titi Savitri Prihatiningsih, M.Med.Ed., Ph.D., Drs. Paripurna, S.H., M.Hum., LL.M., and Prof. Ir. Nizam, M.Sc., Ph.D.
The administrative requirements consisted of several identity documents, certificates, and curriculum vitae, as well as a statement mentioning their commitment to maintain the sustainability of values and identity of the university, also a document on their general policy and programme for the university as well as their strategy to achieve their goals.
After administrative selection process, they will conduct an Academic Community Aspiration Forum. This forum, according to Subejo, is held as a facility for academic community to participate in exploring rector candidates’ work programme based on the vision and mission of UGM.
“Through this forum, campus community can evaluate the candidates critically and deliver their aspirations so UGM can elect the best candidate for the next five years,” said Subejo.
The committee will hold aspiration forum four times, each for Professors, non-Professor Lecturers, students, as well as non-teaching staff. Aspiration forum for Professors will be held in Senate Hall on Tuesday, March 21, 2017 at 08.00 a.m. – 12.00 p.m., while aspiration forum for non-Professor Lectures will be held on Thursday, March 23, 2017 at the same time and place. While in the next week, aspiration forum for non-teaching staff will be held on Wednesday, March 29, 2017 at 08.00 a.m. – 12.00 p.m. in Grha Sabha Pramana on the first floor, and forum for students will be held on Thursday, March 30 2017, in the same place at 12.00 p.m. – 04.00 p.m.
