The effort to bring Iranians who admire the Western lifestyle and Marxism back to the guidance of the Muslim leader (imam) and Islam becomes a spirit in the historical coherence of bidimensional dialectical thinking in Ali Shariati’s historical philosophy. It is not apart from the Shari’a content of Shia Islam through its originality and critical interpretation.

“The condition transforms the traditional Islamist belief into a revolutionary action program, serving as an ideology to get free from tyranny and oppression,” said Moh. Ahsanuddin Jauhari, lecturer of Faculty of Shari’a and Law at Universitas Islam Negeri Sunan Gunung Djati, Bandung, on Wednesday (19/4) during an open examination for the Doctoral program at Faculty of Philosophy UGM.

Jauhari said subjective dialectics in certain limits are similar with Hegel dialectics because these happen in every individual due to human inner nature using their own essence. It can happen in the form of a fight or contradiction between thesis (Allah spirit) as the symbol of truth and antithesis (rotten clay) as the symbol of evil which makes human as a dialectical contradictive reality.

Meanwhile, the objective dialectics are similar with Marx dialectics due to its material characteristic which takes place in a more outward life in the form of a contradiction between thesis (Habil) as the symbol of truth and antithesis (Qobil) as the symbol of evil.

According to Jauhari, an objective dialectics in the history are a transformation of subjective dialectics in each individual. Therefore, history has spiritual as well as material or bidimensional characteristics.

“The contradiction dialectics which happen in each individual and history keep moving forward on an evolutionary progress into the peak of supreme perfection called as synthesis,” he added.
