Brushing our teeth is an essential activity to keep our teeth healthy and toothbrush becomes an important component in brushing the teeth besides toothpaste. However, the toothbrush often easily becomes dirty due to many things such as falling down to bathroom floor or getting dusty. The insanitary toothbrush, of course, is dangerous because there are bacteria in it which can get into our mouth while brushing our teeth.
Based on this issue, several UGM students join a Students Creativity Programme on Entrepreneurship UGM 2017 by creating a product, namely T-Tizer. This students team which consists of Angelia Rosalina and Cindy Rozza from Faculty of Dentistry, Aan Listanto and Maharani Rizki from Faculty of Engineering, as well as Rizqi Dinni from Faculty of Pharmacy, creates an innovative product of the toothbrush disinfectant.
T-Tizer, containing active ingredients from Natrium hypochlorite which has been tested being able to clean up the disruptive microorganisms.
“T-Tizer also contains alcohol and fruit flavor that can refresh the toothbrush condition,” said Rizqi Dinni, the team’s Production Manager.
Natrium hypochlorite in T-Tizer is safer to be used by the society than the other active ingredients.
Various pleasant smells and flavors are the other superiority of T-Tizer. This innovation can be an alternative for the society in choosing their favorite smell to brush their teeth. It is certainly interesting for children, thus it can enhance their interest to brush their teeth. On the other hand, alcohol content in T-Tizer also can help refresh the toothbrush. T-tizer is affordable, ergonomic, and easy to use. Therefore, it is suitable to be used by all kinds of people. This kind of toothbrush disinfectant is the first in Indonesia.
