Faculty of Veterinary Sciences UGM hosted the first National Conference for Veterinary Association, Interna Veteriner Indonesia (AKIVI).
The conference aims to establish new committees after the previous one from 2012-2016 has completed duties.
“The conference is organised to establish the new committee of AKIVI,” said event chairman, Prof. Dr. drh. Ida Tjahayati, M.P., on the sidelines of the conference in the Auditorium of Faculty of Veterinary Medicine UGM on Tuesday (26/3).
Ida said the conference also hosted seminars on the disease in small animals. According to Ida, problems and barriers often faced veterinarians treating internal diseases found in small animals, such as diarrhea, edema, or icterus. “Those types of diseases are often found by veterinarians in their clinic, so the conference may cast new insight on the participants,” she said.
