UGM Prepares Free Course Facilities for Disaster Impacted Students

UGM Siapkan Fasilitas Perkuliahan Gratis Bagi Mahasiswa Korban Bencana

Related to the earthquake and tsunami incidents in Palu, Sigi, Donggala, Lombok, and West Sumbawa, Rector of UGM, Prof. Ir. Panut Mulyono, has issued decisions as stated below:

 

  1. Releasing the students hailing from significantly impacted areas from tuitions for one semester.

  2. Providing cost of living directly or indirectly to UGM students who are from disaster impacted areas.

  3. Providing free sit-in facilities for students from disaster impacted areas.

  4. Providing free dorms for the students while they are studying at UGM based on available capacities.

  5. Preparing counsellors from Faculty of Psychology and Gama Medical Center (GMC) to give free psychological consultation.

  6. Preparing special courses and module on inter-disciplines disaster issues.

  7. Faculty of Medicine, Public Health, and Nursing UGM in collaboration with Association of State University Medical Faculties accept students of medical profession to study at UGM based on available capacity.

  8. UGM dispatches a joint team from cross-disciplines to Palu. They will work with UGM Alumni association (KAGAMA), local government, and other related groups nationally or internationally.

  9. UGM will soon dispatch Student Community Service for Palu Disaster for 1 month.
