UGM Earns 5 Medals in National Diving Championship

Mahasiswa UGM Sabet 5 Medali Kejuaraan Selam Nasional

UGM students earned five medals in National Diving Championship 2019 from 29 April-4 May 2019 in Jakarta.

In the competition held by Indonesian Diving Sports Association (POSSI), the UGM students representing POSSI Yogyakarta have brought home 4 silver medals and 1 bronze medal in underwater hockey.

Meanwhile, the silver medals were obtained by Aulia Romadhona Effendi (Philosophy), Chaesarani Angel (Geography), Indinna Sofia (Geography), and Herdi Wira Aditya (Engineering). The bronze medal was earned by M.Vibra Hawaari (Engineering).

“(We were) proud to have earned the medals that made POSSI Yogyakarta and UGM proud,” said Aulia on Monday (20/5) at UGM.

Aulia explained the underwater hockey was the first to be held nationally, hence, it was a pride for them to make achievement in this sport.

“This achievement will be a point of assessment for the national selection of underwater hockey sport in SEA Games,” he said.
